Description and type: Take
the airport road and when you're nearly there take the left-hand
tower-off marked Cala Jondal; the final stretch is over an unsurfaced
road. It can also be reached from the San Pedroose road following the sign
at Kilometre 7.
Means of transport: By private car or by bicycle. Distance:
12.5 kilometres from Ibiza, 5 kilometres from San Pedroose Description: An
ample bay well protected from winds and swell thanks to its southerly
orientation and the presence of two long capes at either end. Length:
approximately 225 metres Width: 15 metres
Composition: Virtuaily the entire beach is made up of rounded
boulders of considerable size, while there are zones with added sand
from underwater banks.
Sea bottom: At the water's edge there are rounded boulders, which
further out alternate with sandy patches. There is a gentle gradient,
although at first it appears somewhat steep. You can walk more than 30
metres out from the shore.
Direction, prevailing winds: A southerly orientation provides
light winds. always from the sea.
Panoramic aspects: Interesting coastal views, thanks to its
position between headlands, while the mouth of a river-bed provides
further distinction, with surroundings typical of the island's
agricultural activities.
SUMMARY COMMENT: An ideal place for families or persons looking
for a peaceful location, with dining facilities and night-time locales,
together with the possibility of taking the sun on sand brought in from
elsewhere.
