Quite uniquely, the island
can be reached by road as it is connected to the mainland by means of a small
private road. The island can also be reached by private yacht, by the island's
own water taxi or by helicopter (Ibiza International Airport is located 25 km
away). Included in the sale are the island's vehicles - boats, both power and
sail, several jeeps, golf buggies, and jetskis.
The main once_llaves covers 1,200 m2 (130,000 sq.ft) of living space. Highlights of
this magnificent house:
The North Salon: a tastefully decorated area where the warm
colours of a variety of tropical woods set the atmosphere. The main features are
the seating area around the circular fireplace, the bar area for pre or after
dinner drinks and the pool table.
The South Lounge: the colour theme of this room is a cool
marble white. There is a white grand piano and in the circular tower, a quiet
reading area next to a romantic fireplace. The central feature in this part of
the house is the extraordinary ´terraquarium´, filled with tropical plants and
rare coy carps. Electric windows can be opened to allow the sound of the
waterfall into the lounge area.
The Home Cinema: DVD and satellite TV can be enjoyed from 2
enormous lounge beds in front of two large screens.
The Dining Room: decorated in soft whites with marble, glass
and leather, this fantastic dining room can seat up to 14 people and offers an
alternate view of the previously mentioned ´terraquarium´.
The Kitchen: although equipped for professional use, this
kitchen still looks and feels like a cosy once_llaves-style kitchen... great for
preparing Ibiza's world famous fresh seafood.
The Terraces: all around the once_llaves are several terraces. The
most notable is the south terrace overlooking one of the swimming pools and in
the distance, the bay of Sant Miguel. This terrace also features lounge seating
on a slowly revolving plateau with a constantly changing view. A great spot to
enjoy cocktails with friends. The north terrace has stunning views across the
deep blue ocean with the occasional ship sailing by in the distance.
The Pool: the water of this large south facing swimming pool
gently flows over a 8-foot wall creating a spectacular waterfall. The water then
flows into a river that meanders throughout the island until it is collected in
the filter basin. Drinks can be enjoyed at the pool bar... without ever leaving
the water.
The Roof Terrace: this area is entirely dedicated to relaxation
and entertainment. From this elevated position, stunning 360 ° views can be
enjoyed... there's also another bar, elegant sun beds, a Jacuzzi, a small
kitchen for barbeques and dinners, a dance floor and a stage floor complete with
sound system and stage lights for evening entertainment ranging from local folk
groups to live music.
The Bodega: built in traditional style with a beautiful arched
ceiling, this Spanish Bodega Bar houses the best wines, both local and
international.
The island offers a total of 7 beautifully decorated suites, each one with its
own bathroom, terrace and garden. Each suite has a distinctive style and
character, making them very individual indeed. The island also includes several
staff-quarters.
The Laguna complex is situated on the west side of the island. It consists of a
tropical saltwater swimming pool complete with a 20 foot waterfall, sandy beach,
several terraces and a bar.
The cave complex was created a few years ago to accommodate a wide range of
additional facilities - a whirlpool, infra-red cabin, solarium, aroma bath,
steam-bath, sauna, tropical rain shower, vitamin bar, relaxation corner, etc.
