Description and
type: Along the road from Ibiza to San Juan, and one kilometre from the latter
village take a towering which is clearly sign posted. The entire route is along
asphalted roads.
Means of
transport: By private car; those wishing to go by bicycle should be
experienced cyclists . because of the road's steep gradients. There is a bus
service from Ibiza. The proximity and good communication between the area's
beaches permits travel from one to another on foot, by bicycle or car.

Description: This
is a gulf situated in the island's most northern part, protected by a large
headland and containing within it four different beaches: the beach of the
port of Portinatx, S'Arenal Gros, S'Arenal Petit and Es Racó de sa Imatge.
Length: 170 metres (Arenal Gros), 60 metres (Arenal Petit), 130 metres (Racó
de sa Imatge) and 40, meters (Port of Portinatx).
Width: 15-80 metres (S'Arenal Gros), 5-75 metres (Arenal Petit), 20 metres !
(Racó de sa Imatge) and 35 metres (Port of Portinatx).
Composition: Fine white sand of natural origin as well as rocky areas.
Sea bottom: Also varied, predominantly of sand with rocks which provide
interest for snorkelling. The average gradient is very gentle not reaching a
metre in depth until 30 metres from the shore and 2 metres until 45 metres
out.
Direction, prevailing winds: Winds from the south and from land to sea, but
always light giving great security to the beach.
Panoramic aspects: In this area you can see a type of low, coastline which is
very varied with fine sandy beaches and natural rocky outcrops.
SUMMARY COMMENT: We have here another area offering easy access to different
beaches all with a wide range of services of all types. The user can find
considerable variety regarding countryside, corners and activities, comprising
