Description and
type: Reached from the Portinatx road, following the sign to the beach at
Kilometre 19 along an asphalted road with a steep gradient down.
Means of
transport: By private car; also by bicycle, taking into account the steep
gradient and the length of the journey.

kilometres from Ibiza, 7 kilometres from San Juan.
Description: A
stretch of coast where the shore forms an inlet in which the cove is
positioned, flanked by sizeable hills. The mouth of a seasonal torrent is
located on the sand.
Length: 45 metres Width: 30 metres
Composition: Of medium-grained natural sand; with rocky areas at the ends of
the cove.
Sea bottom: Rocks and stones predominate with some sand. There are some
interesting areas for snorkellers. The gradient is very gentle, not reaching a
metre's depth until 20 metres from the shore and 2 metres at 27 metres out.
Direction, prevailing winds: Being in a deep cove, there is good protection
from winds; those that exist are light and transversal.
Panoramic aspects: The coastal scenery that dominates the cove provides a
display of the beauty and untouched coastal surroundings of the northern part
of the island.
SUMMARY COMMENT: The natural characteristics and the services, few but of high
quality, make this beach a good place for those who prize above all
tranquillity and a special natural ambience. To complete the picture there is
the possibility of numerous wonderful walks along the paths which run parallel
to the coast.
