Description and
type: Reached from the outskirts of San Antonio by going in the direction of
the old, lighthouse and continuing north along the tarmaced road. Its access
is well sign posted.
Means of
transport: Given the proximity of San Antonio it can be reached on foot, or by
bicycle or car. There is a regular bus service during summer.
Distance: 16
kilometres from Ibiza, 1 kilometre from the centre of San Antonio.
Description: A
small inset on the coast in which natural sand from underwater banks has been
incorporated.
Length: 150 metres in total - Width: 15 metres at its maximum width
Composition: Fine natural sand brought from underwater banks.
Sea bottom: Sandy with areas of underwater vegetation, surrounded by numerous
rocky sections. The gradient is moderate, that is to say at 25 metres out the
water is not more than 1.80 metres deep.
Direction, prevailing winds: Being well protected there are no strong winds,
but occasional transversals or winds from land to sea.
Panoramic aspects: Marine horizon.
SUMMARY COMMENT: A very convenient place thanks to its nearness to the centre
and the presence of, a fine sandy sea-floor, together with interesting rocks
for snorkelling. Also good for sunbathing. A peaceful place in which the
atmosphere familiar to people of San Antonio presides. |
