Description and
type: From San Antonio follow the signs on the asphalted road, which goes from
the port in the direction of this beach.
Means of
transport: Given San Antonio's proximity, it is possible to get here on foot,
as well as by bicycle or car. There is a regular bus service between San
Antonio and this beach.
Distance: 20
kilometres from Ibiza, 7 kilometres from San Jose.
Description: The
beach is located in a well-enclosed and sheltered bay. Length: 70-80 metres ·
Width: 40-50 metres.
Composition: Slightly coarse, dark-brown sand sand. -
Sea bottom: Near the water's edge sand alternates with rocky sectors. The:
gradient is very gentle and 25 metres out the depth is slightly more than a
metre and at 50 metres does not exceed 1.70 metres in depth.
Direction, prevailing winds: A bay that is well-protected from the seasonal
winds, although there are occasionally transversals or winds from the land,
always light.
SUMMARY COMMENT: This is a beach used daily by the people who live in the
area, and for this reason it matches well the requirements of a beach
dedicated to provide a wide range of-services.
Other points or bays of interest in the municipality of San Jose are Port
Roig, Sa Caixha, Cala Truja, Calo d'en Reai, Cala Corrai, Caia Bou, Caia Pinet
and s'Estanyol. These are either composed of rocks bordering the sea, or else
